I was Spring cleaning like we all do. After quickly eliminating the giant hammock sized cobwebs (they appeared over night, I swear), I found some frozen rhubarb from last season in my freezer.
Although a vibrant colour, it was mostly a big frozen blob, so I decided to cook it down into a simple syrup. It strained out nicely, but it lost some of its gorgeous colour. Never to worry, I bottled up the pale pink solution in a decanter and waited until after work on a Saturday to mix up some Rhubarb 75’s.
I’m a zero-fuss kind of person, but when it comes to cocktails I like to have great glassware. I pick up different styles of glasses almost all the time. I was on the hunt for a Curvy Cocktail Glass that would look good and handle well outside on our patio. It hold 9 ounces. I love the extra room. No sloshing drinks on my patio table. We have a little puppy that likes to get under foot and now cocktails are both safe and puppy proof.
I also found a fantastic mixing pitcher. I love the weight of the glass and how it holds drinks. Plus, can we talk about how gorgeous the cut glass is! Perfect for a vintage-inspired home.
This Rhubarb 75 is light, fresh, floral & feminine with a bubbly twist – what else could you ask for? Perfect for brunches and bridal showers. Or drinks on a Saturday, on the patio.
