As I write this little blog post, we are having a rainy and windy (nothing new here!) day in Wallace, Nova Scotia and are on the cusp of turning the calendar to Chapter 11 of the year. I suspect that the last of the leaves will vanish from the trees quickly. Usually, a quiet time of transformation, November invites us to turn inward and celebrate all that we have.

As November settles over Nova Scotia with its grey skies and early darkness, we’re called to turn inward and create warmth from within. This is the season to nourish both body and soul—not through elaborate efforts or complicated routines, but through simple pleasures that ground us.
I’m going to share our new store arrivals to help with our indoor space that often gets missed if we are busy.
I’ve woven poetry throughout this post to nourish your soul.
I’ll help you nourish your body and guests (if you have them) with a simple, seasonal Food & Wine Pairing.

Other stores ‘import’ stock, we make it! The following collage is a quick look around the store – lighting, furniture and artisanal decor allow you to create a space that anchors you somewhere meaningful.

And, our newest collection of signs allows for the unexpected. None of the careful neutrality.

We’ve got copies of the Fall/Winter Sunrise Trail Magazine in the store or online and I’m sharing an exclusive recipe with you from my Hey, Pumpkin article.
Sheet Pan dinners are truly a no-stress/fuss option that allow you to have flavourful meals with almost zero clean-up (one of my favourite things). I hope you enjoy Roasted Pumpkin Sheet Pan Dinner with Pinot Noir Wine Pairing

May you embrace the simplicity and seasonal abundance of November and make sure to visit the store, in Wallace, try the recipe, write your own poetry over these next slow days and savour all this month has to offer.
