This solid maple (read super heavy) beauty is from the 1880’s and was definitely well used.
With new hardware, the addition of legs to make this island height and a coat of Fusion Mineral paint – Manor Green she is set to live another 100 plus years.
The top was broken and warped and we at Wallace River Revival added new/old maple wood to match. The patina is incredible and the two pieces are seamless, you have to see it to appreciate it. There are two pull-out bread boards, 4 drawers and 2 doors on this 5 foot Long Island. The piece is 23 inches wide by 37 inches high.
The item is for sale in our shipping container store at 2241 North Wallace Road in Wallace, Nova Scotia. The background material is the metal sides of the insulated container. The colour of the Fusion paint is matte and changes with the light, it is more subdued than the pictures display as the sun was fully shining when this picture was taken. We will are including a link to a video we posted on Instagram of this item.
